The Witness

Members of the Sacred Space Team last night attended a wonderful production of Carol and Jimmy Owen's musical 'The Witness' presented by the Diocese of Limerick at The Lime Tree Theatre, Mary Immaculate College, Limerick.  Under the excellent direction and production of Fr. Terry Loughran, a group of superbly talented young people and adults presented the story of Jesus, told and sung by St. Peter, The Witness, and the other men and women who knew the Master best.

The actors drew the audience into the life, death and resurrection of Jesus so that they experienced emotions from hope to joy to sorrow and back again as they learnt how Jesus brought salvation to the world.  On a personal note, I had that spine-tingling moment when you truly feel you are witnessing something special on at least 4 different ocassions during the show.  It is a marvellous testiment to the talent and hard work of all those involved.

We highly recommend attending this musical.  Please consider bringing the whole family along tonight (Saturday, March 9th at 8.00pm).  Tickets are only 15 euro and are available on the door.  For more information contact The Lime Tree Theatre (061-774774) or www.limetreetheatre.ie
