ALLELUIA, ALLELUIA!!!
Christians, to the Paschal Victim Offer your thankful praises!
A Lamb the sheep redeems: Christ, who only is sinless, Reconciles sinners to the Father.
Death and life have contended in that combat stupendous: The Prince of life, who died, reigns immortal.
Speak, Mary, declaring What you saw, wayfaring. "The tomb of Christ, who is living, The glory of Jesus' resurrection;
Bright angels attesting, The shroud and napkin resting. Yes, my Christ my hope is arisen:
To Galilee he goes before you." Christ indeed from death is risen, our new life obtaining. Have mercy, victor King, ever reigning!
Amen. Alleluia

Gospel Reflection - Matthew 28: 1 -10
After the sabbath, as the first day of the week was dawning,Mary Magdalene and the other Mary came to see the tomb.And behold, there was a great earthquake; for an angel of the Lord descended from heaven, approached, rolled back the stone, and sat upon it.His appearance was like lightningand his clothing was white as snow.The guards were shaken with fear of himand became like dead men.Then the angel said to the women in reply,"Do not be afraid!I know that you are seeking Jesus the crucified.He is not here, for he has been raised just as he said.Come and see the place where he lay.Then go quickly and tell his disciples,'He has been raised from the dead, and he is going before you to Galilee;there you will see him.'Behold, I have told you."Then they went away quickly from the tomb, fearful yet overjoyed,and ran to announce this to his disciples.And behold, Jesus met them on their way and greeted them.They approached, embraced his feet, and did him homage.Then Jesus said to them, "Do not be afraid.Go tell my brothers to go to Galilee,and there they will see me."Reflections on the gospel:

The first thing that stuck in the minds of the disciples was not the empty tomb, but rather the empty grave clothes - undisturbed in form and position." - Josh McDowell - Christian Apologist and Writer (b. 1939)
"The great gift of Easter is hope - Christian hope which makes us have that confidence in God, in his ultimate triumph, and in his goodness and love, which nothing can shake." - Basil C Hume, (1923-1999) - Cardinal Archbishop of Westminster
“I know the resurrection is a fact, and Watergate proved it to me. How? Because 12 men testified they had seen Jesus raised from the dead, then they proclaimed that truth for 40 years, never once denying it. Every one was beaten, tortured, stoned and put in prison. They would not have endured that if it weren't true. Watergate embroiled 12 of the most powerful men in the world-and they couldn't keep a lie for three weeks. You're telling me 12 apostles could keep a lie for 40 years? Absolutely impossible.”
