To Believe

In today's first reading we read the account of St. Peter addressing the crowd at Pentecost from the Acts of the Apostles. St. Peter professes our belief in the Resurrection: "God raised this man Jesus to life, and all of us are witnesses to that. Now raised to the heights by God's right hand, he has received from the Father the Holy Spirit, who was promised, and what you see and hear is the outpouring of that Spirit" (Acts 2:32-33). Belief in the Risen Christ is belief that Jesus Christ, the Son of God, has redeemed man and all creation by His Paschal Mystery... On this Easter Monday, we invite you to reflect on the implications of the Resurrection for mankind... Do you believe?

  1. Listening to this brought tears to my eyes. The simple message, so reflective of the one that the Risen Christ wants us all to hear, is captured in the challenge that we all have as Christians.... to go out to the whole world and proclaim the Good News and then we can all play our part in helping the hungry, oppressed and marginalised of society.
